Girls Can Kiss Now: Essays by Jill Gutowitz

funny informative lighthearted

3.75

I enjoyed these essays on audiobook, it felt like listening to an informative and funny podcast. The look at queer women through the lens of pop culture was illuminating and fun. Some of the things I was too young to remember so I found those particularly interesting. The only issue I had with the book was a seeming hypocrisy where the author goes in on Perez Hilton for dragging celebs out of the closet and trying to out them, and then in the next breath goes into her deep dive on theories about Taylor Swift’s sexuality and potential queer relationships.
