Golden Son by Pierce Brown

adventurous challenging dark emotional hopeful inspiring mysterious sad tense medium-paced

4.25

After finishing the trilogy, I have to say that I think Golden Son is the weakest of the three. An incredible story with certain riveting plotlines, unseen betrayal, and untold back stories, but it was also missing... something.

I definitely felt overwhelmed with the overload of information that was crammed into the dialogue that I felt lost with the new terms and heady names.

But when it comes to plot? To death? To characters? To pain? To hope? This book brings so much life. I can't deny how well this book was written.
