Infinite Country
by Patricia Engel
You know when you start a book and you just know that its going to be a 5 star read? Yeah thats what happened when I started Infinite Country.
This is a story that is heartbreaking but so beautiful and not only because of the poetic writing of Engel but because it is a common story for all migrants, immigrants that hits close to home.
This story follows the POV of each member in the family. We start with the parents Elena and Mauro who left Colombia for a chance at the American Dream. They left Colombia with the intention of bringing money back to their homeland to have a better life, however we see them come to the realization that achieving the American Dream comes with a price.
