3 and a bit Stars

The idea was so original and the Plot was fantastic, i really enjoy books with Cherokee legends and this mixed both past and present in well....

Jane came across as a little mechanical (except when speaking to her best friend and her "Kit") I'm sure as the books go on i will grow to like her, shes not unlikable by all means.

The beast and Jane was both interesting and a little off putting, when beast took form and the internal monologue and switching back all came across as a little fumbled and confusing for me, and it happens nearly every other page, But i liked the fact that the beast and Jane could converse...

The revelations, this annoyed me the most... I Hate when a character has a revelation or epiphany then the reader takes chapters to find out what it was , by that point something else has happened and i had to flick back to find out what Jane was talking about... This happened a lot....

I love the story the concepts are brilliant, i'm going with book 2 as i'm not sure if its the writing style or first book syndrome that's not making this a higher star read for me, still i'm glad i read it.
