*Audiobook* I read the 2nd book in this series first on accident so some parts of Rory’s character I already knew about, whoops. I loved it anyways. This time around I got two main characters with Autism! And they are strong capable women, despite their struggles. Understanding of ASD and other such diseases has increased in the 40 years between the 2 characters lives, but not nearly as much as it should have. I hope stories continue to be written with differently-abled characters and that we continue to inform ourselves of humans different from us. (I can dream, cant i?) The twists were unpredictable up til about 3/4 of the way through. Then once they were revealed, they made total sense and I felt silly for not connecting it sooner. But, I didn’t and that’s what makes a great book. Definitely going to be keeping an eye for more of this series!
