Hunted: The Zodiac Murders by Mark Hewitt

“Hunted” is the complete story of the well-known serial killer, The Zodiac Killer. It explains how the killer wanted to be remembered, but ultimately failed at his goal. Which is kind of ironic since he managed to succeed in murdering several people, seemingly leaving plenty of condemning evidence, but never got caught. The book is similar to a collection of very detailed police reports. It even presents his actual written ciphers. The amount of detail given for each case is actually astonishing since they “never had enough evidence that would go together.” Hewitt’s style reminds me a bit of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but of course without Sherlock Holmes and the mystery remains a mystery.
