This was a reread for me, It was the first grown up book I ever read and I wanted to give it another go as i remembered it fondly. I remember reading this so quickly as a teenager but in 2025 it doesnt hit the mark. there's so much "pick me mentality" and the characters are just too perfect. its clear of the three sisters which one was the authors favourite and though their stories are compelling they're just abandoned at the end for the true favourite to get the resolution she wants. the end felt rushed anyway like it could have gone on for another 100 pages to wrap it up properly, but i was also happy for it to end when it did. That being said, its a very easy read, the way it swaps between the characters  means your constantly being left on cliff hangers. Its trashy but it wasn't as offensive as I expected.
