American Daughter: A Memoir by Stephanie Thornton Plymale, Elissa Wald
3.25
3.3 out of 5.
It’s probably a better book than my rating but it didn’t really speak to me. It’s an interesting story of the authors journey of reconciliation with generational trauma. A multifaceted recounting and sometimes riveting memoir of a traumatic upbringing by a local author. And that’s why I read it. She’s the partner of one of my mentors and so I was curious about the tale as he mentions her and it frequently. Glad I read it. Wouldn’t not recommend.
