Capturing the Devil by Kerri Maniscalco

5.0

⁣⁣This series is amazing. Absolutely phenomenal. Maniscalco’s attention to historical detail completely transported me into petticoats and corsets, top hats and tails. Audrey Rose is a shining example of living fully, unapologetically, and purposefully. She is the feminine character we need in today’s world — unafraid to love delicate shoes, desserts, AND science. Thomas Cresswell is the sensitive and truthful match to a strong female presence, never daring to cage or infringe on her choices. The overwhelming romance of these books were perfectly juxtaposed with the dark and gorey subject matter while spinning a tale of mystery and intrigue through each book. I do not know if I could choose just one favorite. I’m giving the entire series 5 out of 5 stars. I’m sad to be done with this story, but it is one I’ll be revisiting in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⁣⁣⁣
