Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

I started reading this because I was looking for something light and cheesy to take a break from some of the more serious books I've been reading. The reviews promised fantasy, adventure, and sex. Sounded like the perfect guilty pleasure type book. Instead it was one of the most boring reads ever. Took me months to make it through 3/4 of it and eventually I just gave up. The story is so devoid of any adventure you could sum it up in 3 sentences and you wouldn't miss any details. The main character is a spineless moron with a clear lack of any emotional sense. And the sex scenes are non existant.
