This volume has been my favorite one so far, even with the amount of emotional damage that
Aki’s death
caused me. Denji taking care of Power in chapter 71 was so wholesome. Denji, Aki, and Power all showed character development in how they learned to rely on each other, became friends, and lived like a family.
Aki’s death and him becoming the Gun Fiend
was absolutely devastating. It felt like those sick prophecies in Greek myths, because he tried to avoid his fate but only brought himself closer to it.
