This is by no fault of the author or the plot itself. I have just come to realize that I do not like the POV of a child and this type of fantasy story.
I appreciate everything that was done. This book truly captures the imagination of a child. I felt like this was a game of make believe come to life (or possibly a way for a child to rationalize the changes in his real life... I don't know I never finished it)... Unfortunately I now realize that is something I strongly dislike in books.
