Things We Lost in the Fire by Mariana Enríquez

3.0

A dark, eerie, and atmospheric collection of stories. All the stories felt deeply intimate yet reflective of society overall. The stories intersect with poverty, crime, sexism, and Argentina’s history. The horror is not always the unexplained or supernatural, it’s the darkness of reality.

As with all collections, some stories were more gripping than others. I definitely recommend if you are looking for something spooky and atmospheric, but trigger warning for like everything.
