Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree

4.0

This one was on my TBR forever and I’m so happy I finally got around to it! Legends and Lattes was a comforting, cozy, whimsical fantasy featuring a wacky little found family and one of the cutest friends to lovers slow burn romances EVER. With all its sweetness, it didn’t lack in depth or perspective and I found myself assessing my own insecurities and how they prevent me from enjoying things in the moment. Only being able to look at things in a future or past tense just takes the joy out of experiencing anything right now. As an anxious person myself, being in the moment is a lot easier said than done. Is everything that happens to me a matter of my own doing or is it just luck, good or bad? As Viv navigated these questions for herself, I found myself rooting for her alongside her friends in the shop - and I guess rooting a bit for myself, too. This book is all about how things aren’t always as they seem, and the world you want to live in is there for you whenever you are ready to find it. Overall this was a very heartwarming book that I will remember fondly. I highly recommend to anyone needing a bit of extra comfort from some truly lovely and well developed characters.
