Wild Wings by Gill Lewis

5.0

This is my new favorite children's book.

Perfect for fans of [b:Bridge to Terabithia|2839|Bridge to Terabithia|Katherine Paterson|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1327880087s/2839.jpg|2237401], Wild Wings is a heart-touching story that touches on difficult topics such as abandonment, bullying, friendship, endangered species, and the power of a heart with hope and the will to do good. It will suck you in, break your heart, and build it again. It is beautiful, deep, and raw. It will make your heart sigh with sad contentment, like my falconer's heart did upon closing it at the end. It's perfect for younger readers and older alike, since the story is deep yet understandable and it's a quick read.

This book should be made into a movie. And when it is, I'll watch it.
