The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix

3.0

I think this book did exactly what it set out to do. It effectively uses the vampire trope to expose sexism and racism in the 1990s South and shows women coming into their own power. This is a well-written, successful book. If you like horror, I suspect you will really enjoy the novel. I dislike and avoid horroe, so this book, while a good, just isn't a book for me.
