This may be a rare occurrence where the TV adaptation is better than the original book. Daphne was a fun heroine, headstrong and a little violent whilst her protective brood were easy to love. The Regency setting was enjoyable, as were the inclusions of Lady Whistledown. However, the
lack of consent and the way Daphne took little accountability
made for a less enjoyable reading experience and a lower rating. However, I will persist with Quinn and continue listening (!) to the series.
