Did not finish book. Stopped at 39%.

I quit reading this because it was becoming just a very bland experience. No aspect of this book is particularly compelling for me. The alien design is cool, but that’s about it. I’m also disappointed that this book wasn’t more humorous - some of the writing starts to go that way but feels like it never commits.
