(100th book!) Wow, this book is an incredible family saga. It is raw, it is honest, it is a mirror. It feels to me like it could sit with Pachinko and Homegoing, two other family sagas I hold dear. Hala Alayan’s prose is incredibly endearing, even with the most painful and horrid of topics with themes of loss of identity, and how the Palestinian diaspora effects generations each in an unique way. A must read!
