this book started off so strong. i was wrapped up in the story and the way it flowed through, until i wasn’t.
when the plot twist is, ‘oh the bad guy isn’t the character who’s been evil the entire story but instead is the one character who’s been good and the evil character is actually acting like that for a reason!’ it’s so exhausting and i’ll never be a fan of it. it’s too easy to see coming.
i could barely finish the book because of how predictable the twist was. McFadden has far better books and usually i love them, this one isn’t for me.
for a book that does this better, i suggest Don’t Let Her Stay by Nicola Sanders.
Happy Reading :)
