Oh dear. Maybe I've read too many of these mysteries. Guessed the identity of the assassin when I saw the floor plan of the chateau. Style of writing is of its time but found it hard going at times. People rarely speak in paragraphs. Gave it a three star as the solution to the mystery of what took place in the locked room is worth reading to the end for.
