What a truly engrossing and haunting read. I loved how this wasn't a typical YA novel with a happy ending and the lovebirds getting married. There was heartache, happiness, heroes, and antiheroes. I really don't know who to root for, who was "right," and that is really what makes this book more like real life even with all it's magic. Things aren't always black and white, right and wrong, sometimes there is a grey area, and I beleive that is where the Young Elites shines. Even after finishing, I still don't know who I am rooting for.
