River of Fire by Erin Hunter

1.0

A few problems with this volume, and the series, as a whole:

Bramblestar thinks strays can't join Clans under any conditions, even though he brought strays/kittypets into the Clan in Bramblestar's Storm, and it's kinda Thunderclan's thing.

Jayfeather somehow doesn't care about Starclan prophecies. He was at the center of one a few arcs ago!!

Medicine cats just casually committed the taboo of sharing their visions while at the moonpool, before even telling their leader or mulling it over.

Bramblestar just put Leafstar on the spot at a Gathering, over a prophecy no one is even sure about.

Tigerheart gets promoted to Clan leader after he runs away with Dovewing and has kits with her. Other cats have ascended to leader or medicine cat roles despite inter-Clan romances, but they sacrificed everything for their duty because it's prohibited by the Warrior code. Meanwhile stupid Tigerheart gets to have his cake and eat it, too!

Once I'm done with the Vision of Shadows arc and a novella collection, I'm done with the Warriora franchise. I'll reread my favorites someday, but nothing new.
