Easily one of my favorite books. A Natural History of Dragons wholeheartedly indulges in the fantasy of dragon naturalism, in the gentleman's scientific expedition, without once flinching away from the very real human obstacles the daring yet straightforward heroine faces, or the very real consequences of her actions. It is a narrative greatly enhanced by the faux-memoir style, told with a deft hand by an author with unimpeachable command of her narrator's voice.

A Natural History of Dragons is truly one of the most delightful novels I've ever had the pleasure of reading and I'd recommend it to anyone.
