Idk this is a hard one for me to rate.
This is a reread for me, but I literally read it so long ago I don’t remember much.
I do think this is a good story for preteens and younger teenagers because it’s relatable with body image, comparing yourself and bullying. This also deals with grief and eating disorders. I just wish that we got a little more of a conclusion. It just felt kind of rushed to me. It was nice seeing the family grieve and come back together, but I feel like we didn’t really get to see them tan out their issues. I also feel like the friendship issues were glossed over. I think when this was published it was good, but I think newer books are probably a little better. This did do a good job of explaining why people may binge and purge, but it also kind of felt like a how to as well.
