Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell

This book posed a challenge for me. I'm not sure if it's because I'm so familiar with the movie and its storyline that I struggled to engage with the book, or if it was due to the varying writing styles that made it hard for me to stay entertained. Nonetheless, the book showcases David Mitchell's remarkable storytelling skills. It consists of five distinct short stories, each written in a different style. What's striking is how each story is unique and stands on its own, yet they are intricately interconnected. Despite my initial difficulty, I found myself contemplating the book long after I finished it. Highly recommend.

Este libro fue un desafío para mí. No estoy segura si fue porque estoy tan familiarizada con la película que me costó permanecer interesada en el libro, o si se debió a los diversos estilos de escritura que me distraían muy rápido. Sin embargo, el libro muestra las habilidades de narración de David Mitchell de manera increíble. La historia consta de cinco distintas historias cortas, cada una escrita en un estilo diferente. Lo sorprendente es cómo cada historia es única y se sostiene por sí misma, pero a la vez, están intricamente interconectadas. A pesar de mi dificultad inicial, me encontré pensando en el libro mucho tiempo después de haberlo terminado. Lo super recomiendo.
