I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

dark emotional lighthearted sad tense medium-paced

4.0

This is raw, real and emotional. I think the hardest part of reading this book is knowing this isn't fiction. This is someone's life, a childhood, teen years and adulthood completely morphed into what her mother wanted.

It hurts my heart knowing what Jennette went through and never realized was not okay until she was an adult.

I think Hollywood is a cesspool for creeps and terrible people to do what they please. With all the horror stories that come out from child actors, at this point I'm like should children even be allowed to act???  They need more child advocates in that industry. It's absolutely sickening.

Thank you to Jennette for sharing your life with us.
