I shouldn’t have been but I was taken aback by how dense and academic this book can be at times. It feels like the thesis is sometimes bogged down by archaeological details and it was challenging to continue moving forward.

Overall very informative and interesting book. The philosophy put forth by Gosden will rattle around in my mind for a long time to come.
