Considering I read the first book of this series I kinda knew what I was getting myself into, I’m convinced the prequel series just is not as good as Bridgerton.

Honestly I loved Edward though, suchhh a cutie gentleman true lover boy. Def a little delulu but he’s just a pookie that’s why 😂.

Cecilia also was pissing me tf off when she wasn’t married to him, like babes went back and forth sooooo muchhhhh like babesssss. I wish she told him sooner so we could see more of an authentic relationship between them but it is what it is.

Also, there was a point in the beginning that Julia Quinn is basically describing how Cecilia is in this “new world” and it’s so different from where she’s from, especially through seeing more people of different races being with everyone else and idk I found that part a little weird and unnecessary… like… girl all of that was not needed. I understand being historically accurate but idk I really don’t see how this added to that.
