This book wrecked me. A very personal and raw journey through grief and what it does to you that, somehow, feels very universal. I had never come across someone who was able to put into words what it is like to experience loss the way Michelle does. Deeply touching, humbling and heartbreaking.
"I remember these things clearly because that was how my mother loved you, not through white lies and constant verbal affirmation, but in subtle observations of what brought you joy, pocketed away to make you feel comforted and cared for without even realizing it."
Graphic: Death of parent, Cancer, Grief, and Death
Minor: Abortion, Alcoholism, and Addiction
