GUH. So good.
Characters are SO VERY PEOPLE, in the best way. The way the friend group is with each other feels super real and adult and like exactly the friend group I would want to be a part of. The chemistry and build between the two main characters is just 100% perfect, in my opinion. The friendship felt real, the attraction felt real, the way that things unfolded felt real. And like... in a way that was also engaging. Even though the time frame that this story happens in is super short, nothing felt rushed or insta, which is impressive as hell to me.
Honestly, contemporary romance has been more miss than hit for me recently and I was starting to wonder if it was me, but my enjoyment of this book and how much I appreciated it tells me that it's the books I was reading that are the problem. I was ALL IN for this one and will be devouring more Danielle Allen now.
