This book is cute but predictable. Basically, two friends from childhood Jacob and Bethany agree to fake date and go to homecoming together. The fake dating plan starts with the encouragement of Bethany's friends one of which is Saylor who is also Jacob's girlfriend. This plan is to prove to others that Bethany is ready for a boyfriend and that recently dumped Jacob can be successful in a relationship. Everything is going according to plan until Jacob and Bethany develop real feelings for each other. Both of them discover they can have a deeper relationship than being just friends. There were a couple things I did not like within the book such as Bethany calling herself fat and the fact that I felt as if there were too many side characters. I really liked that the book was told from both Jacob and Bethany's perspectives. Overall, this book was a decently quick little read.
