Marlee was happy on her local police force but after her twin goes missing, Marlee ends up ging down her own rabbit hole into hell! The book begins with her twin's murder and her niece being kidnapped, literally taken from the safety of her mothers womb - a harrowing start to anyone's backstory!
Fast forward a decade and Marlee is now a PI but with a side mission of looking for her niece. Clues lead her to Clearview, TX where she tried to get an in with the people she suspects may be involved in the murder/abduction. Cooper, one hunkalicious cowboy is friends with these people and ultimately gets involved in the investigation.
Strong plot, harrowing beginning, and a few supporting characters that add to the story. There are plenty of twists and turns and the romance is scorching hot!
