The Family Remains
by Lisa Jewell
I didn’t like it…
I’m glad the story ended and had a good conclusion, but it was boring to read. At first, I was reading about a guy looking for love and acting like a loser. Then suddenly it was about the police for some reason. And Lucy left with the kids to look for her brother. Everything felt all over the place, like there was a lot of unnecessary stuff.
Still, the story didn’t have any plot holes or unanswered questions — maybe that was the point. But it was boring. I liked the first book so much. When everything was revealed there, I honestly didn’t know what could even be written next that would still be interesting. I guess I should’ve expected this, since the most was already wrapped up in the last book. Still, it’s sad I didn’t enjoy it.
