Pets of Park Avenue by Stefanie London
4.0

Pets of Park Avenue by Stefanie London is the sequel to Dachshund Wears Prada. A contemporary romance book about a second chance in love.

Scout Myer messed up during a pet photo shoot by accidentally dying a dog pink. Out of fear of losing a client, she decided to approach her estranged husband, Lane, so that she could borrow his dog, Star. They started spending more time with each other, and old memories and feelings of hers and Lane started coming back.

Scout was introduced in the first book of Paws in the City, "Dachshund Wears Prada." She is Isla’s best friend. Scout describes herself as a messed-up person. She wants to prove to her grandparents that she can be responsible and can take care of her teenage sister, Lizzie, and for that, she works hard for her promotion at Paws in the City. Scout is a caring sister, friend, and kindhearted person. I loved her growth and the way she started seeing herself differently.

Lane, Scout’s estranged husband, got married in Vegas five years ago. Lane is hard-working and disciplined. Lane loves and cares for his family. He still has strong feelings for Scout, even after they separated for five years.

Both Scout and Lane had complicated pasts, which became the reason for their separation in the first place. They both deeply love each other.

Twinkle Stardust "Star," an adorable Bichon Frise. She is Lane’s dog. She was the reason Scout and Lane fell in love again. She showed emotional turmoil when Scout reappeared after five years, showing that even animals can have strong feelings.

This book is an adorable and heartwarming read, featuring lots of fur babies in it. I loved how the story was concluded. I would highly recommend Pets of Fifth Avenue.
