I really enjoyed this read! Especially enchainé avec Rocannon's World. I see how Le Guin's writing style developed further--closer to what I experienced in City of Illusions. As a result I felt that I got to explore the world and the characters a bit more. The storytelling was still abbreviated compared to later works, and the plot timing felt a lot shallow and undeveloped, but the action was exciting all the same.
Re: the characters, I absolutely adored Rolery and Jakob Agat. Like, they got me! How the ignorance between the two communities is explored was really well done as well, these different perspectives of Man. Seeing how the Tevarans' processed experiences and emotions made me so excited.
Just wish we had more time to explore all these wonderful things!
