Mary: An Awakening of Terror by Nat Cassidy

5.0

OMG! This has quickly become one of my favourite read this year! At first I was really intimidated by the size of this book because it’s a big one with relatively tiny font, but nope, I wouldn’t even think to take anything out of this book. There’s not even one moment I felt bored!

I’ve had such an unforgettable reading experience! One moment I was horrified, the next second I’d be laughing! Despite the dark issues touched and explored in this book, the writing is fun, easy, and humorous! (Aunt Nadine is just iconic!!!)

I loved how Mary’s insecurities, fears, trauma and isolation were clearly depicted and acknowledged without it sounding depressing and more accepting tone??? Because somehow in real life sometimes we do need to push through rather than dwelling in it. And that what makes it relatable I guess. I loved how Mary’s determination was showing and growing as the story progressed.

A remarkable read!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
