This was such a heart wrenching, difficult read that provide a perspective we don't often get to see. The story was captivating and well-written and the author's note made me tear up a bit. I have two minor complaints. First, I feel like our main character could have had a bit more depth to her. At times, it felt like her whole character was the bad things that happened to her. My last complaint is this: she used way too many colons and most of the time they were unnecessary.
