Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt

2.0

I thought this book would be about an octopus. It's actually a dull narration about the life of a mediocre man-child.

I feel like the author wrote Cameron as an 18 year old, and then change his age to 30 later without editing. His adult boss calls him "kiddo". Cameron's internal dialogue about women is cringe-inducing. He blunders his way into a job, but still somehow thinks he deserves a manager position?

Also, Avery, girl, have some self-respect and don't give your phone number to dirty men who smell like piss....
