I think the cover and title don’t quite fit the book, but it’s what made me pick it up! I thought it was maybe a biography, but this is a great collection of short stories and I made my way through it slowly a few stories at a time so that they didn’t start to blur together. Several of these stories totally completely unique, and reminded me a bit of sci fi stories like “This is How You Lose the Time War”. My favorites were the alchemy/food focused ones, they were a little bit cozier.
