This book starts w/some truly bad soap-opera dialouge. However, once it gets past that, the story (and the violence) picks up and kept me deeply entertained. For once I did figure out "who done it" when it was kept a mystery until the end but that was mostly a case of thinking, "One of these things is not like the other."
