Days of Hate Act One by Aleš Kot
4.0
This one hit a little different. A cat and mouse game between a FBI agent, and an anti-nazi radical, set in a fascist police state in 2022 United States. Yikes.
The moody art supports the tension and bleak political landscape the characters inhabit. Though the book doesn't explain how the state of things came to the violent extremes we are presented with, its not hard to turn on the news IRL and see this progression. The world building leaves something to be desired, but the characters are fascinating and carry the plot along at a brisk pace. I am excited to see how this story will conclude.
