Meh. This was just okay for me. It had the standard domestic thriller settings and tropes so it didn't stand out. The story is character driven so the fact that I didn't like any of the characters didn't help at all.
My biggest qualm with this story is how Carl was handled. He was never called out on his abusive tendencies, his obsession with his daughter, his jealousy or his malpractice. His secrets are never revealed, besides the secret that led to his demise. I just felt nothing was resolved, no justice was served. I did not enjoy the ending at all.
So less than average for me.
