I really did like this book overall, with the additional pov’s. But the big battle had so much buildup for basically the whole book, and then it was over almost immediately. I wish that it had been fleshed out for longer. Like what were all of Isla’s powers? How did Leena figure out to give her heart? What did Kaori and Caleb do?

Same with the conclusion with the charmers reawakening. It was glossed over in about a sentence and instantly resolved. What happened to everyone after the battle? Why did it need to jump cut to a rapid closure?
