I've read Melissa Gilbert's book about her childhood and growing up on the set of "Little House on the Prairie". The show was a mainstay of my own childhood, watched in re-runs over and over again, and the books it was (loosely) based on were a heavy favorite of mine. I had not realized that Melissa Anderson, who portrayed Laura's older sister, Mary, in the show, had published her own memoir.
It was a pleasure to read. She seems down to earth in spite of a childhood spent in Hollywood, and I enjoyed hearing her give her perspective about popular episodes of the show. I haven't seen her in recent projects -- she took a break to focus on raising her children. I would certainly watch a show or movie if I knew she was acting in it.
