Misery by Stephen King
4.0
challenging dark tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

King employs steam-of-consciousness throughout this book, which was an interesting deviation from his normal style. I think it really works, considering the book is basically set in Paul Sheldon's head. You get a lot of insight into addiction, the writing process, and how many ways one can describe pain. Overall, a good book.
