Star Wars: Doctor Aphra, Vol. 5: Worst Among Equals by Kieron Gillen
2.0
Clunky dialogue and tedious story. The *idea* of each story is fine, but the execution is lacking.
Doing a version of The Defiant Ones (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Defiant_Ones) is fine. It’s been reimagined time and again, forming the basis of every buddy cop movie ever, reaching its apotheosis in 48 hrs. (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/48_Hrs.) But when you pair the most amoral character in Star Wars (Aphra) with the most murderously psychotic droid ever conceived (Triple Zero), one expects more inventive violence and delightful doublecrossing.
