This is a bit of a late review but… I think about these characters all the time. The way Jennifer Niven has the ability to catch such raw humanity and pain in her characters is truly a myth to me.
I decided to read this book because I watched the film a while ago due to being with a friend but my little reader self felt as though that was a crime. Finally, years later I got around to read the book. Can confirm…. the book is better than the film.
I felt as though I truly understood these characters and their feelings on a deeper level. I felt all the emotions throughout this book but especially pain.
Anyway… I’m going to see if Jennifer Niven has written anymore books and if any are of interest to me.
