Finding the Dhampir by Sara Sines

5.0

Normally…. I cannot stand slow-burns. I swear they always drag on and on and the payoff is never what I expect. But this? This was the absolute PERFECT blend of burn, spice, and all the paranormal goodness I was searching for. Hence why this was read in less than 24 hours!!
I loved how unique the men are, and how independent and strong (both emotionally and physically) our main gal is. It was also great to see the men having a relationship with one another already, having that dynamic in place adds a whole new layer for our FMC to explore. It was incredibly refreshing to see how they treated her, and the beginnings of relationships forming. The spice was there, but nothing over the top. I am way too excited to see how their relationships grow further, and what other spiciness may ensue
The world is definitely contemporary but with a very, very healthy dose of creatures. It was really fantastic to see how well the two meshed together. It didn’t feel like any of the locations felt out of place, or too far from realism which can always be a tricky line to walk when the setting is as modern as this.
I will warn that this ends in a cliffhanger, but it’s only a FEW WEEKS until the second book releases so it’s totally forgiven.
