I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You
by Ally Carter
This book disappointed me. I was ready for detailed description of 'spy classes'. And girls just being generally intelligent and making decisions well above their age dictated they should be making.
What I got was another teenage girl obsessing because a boy said her cat was lucky. Now, I'm not saying that's not realistic but half the book is spent exploring her feelings for a boy she consistently lies to.
I enjoyed the fact that Cammie was 'the chameleon' (and now I have that song stuck in my head!) and that her feelings for her father were explored.
She didn't even remember her own fake birthday, even though, coincidentally it happened to be her own dead father's birthday. Also I was extremely disappointed that Cammie didn't come to Anna's aid in the pharmacy.
Overall, I felt a lot more could have been done with the idea. The school, the girl's futures and Cammie's relationship with her parents could've been explored a lot more.
I won't be continuing with the series.
